The 2019 Alfa Romeo Stelvio and TI bring the best of Italian style and flair with the convenience of a sport utility vehicle. But this is no ordinary SUV, because it contains the DNA of high performance motorcars.
Powering the Stelvio and TI is a 2.0 liter turbocharged direct-injection inline 4-cylinder engine developing 280 horsepower and 306 lb-ft of torque. This engine provides a top speed of 144 mph and 0-60 mph in 5.4 seconds. Power is delivered to either the rear wheels or available Q4 all-wheel drive (standard on TI) through a 8HP50 turbo 8-speed automatic transmission. The front suspension is a double wishbone with semi-virtual steering axle; the rear suspension is the Alfa link design with patented vertical rod link. Steering is provided by rack and pinion with electric variable assist. The front brakes are Brembo quad-piston calipers and the rear are single-piston calipers.
