The last time Alfa Romeo produced a supercar was in 2010 with a limited production run of the 8C Competizione Spider. Alfa Romeo has released information of a five-year roadmap with the introduction of seven new or redesigned models by 2022. This includes the return of two legendary Alfa Romeo sports cars. The legendary 8C is coming back as a twin-turbo mid-engine sports car with monocoque chassis and electrified all-wheel-drive system.

The new 8C will have an electric front axle delivering 700 or more horsepower and estimated 0-62 mph times under three seconds. This far exceeds the previous 8C Competizione which used a Ferrari 4.7 liter V-8 developing 477 horsepower. Along with the new 8C, Alfa Romeo is also bringing back a new GTV, which is expected to be the coupe version of the Giulia. The GTV is expected to have more than 600 horsepower available due to its E-Boost technology, all-wheel drive torque vectoring, and a balanced 50/50 weight distribution along with four seats.

Along with these new supercars, Alfa Romeo plans to position two new SUVs alongside the Stelvio. One will be mid-sized and positioned below the Stelvio while the second offering will be a full-size SUV. There will also be extended-wheelbase versions of the Giulia and Stelvio.
